Ōtautahi Tiny Fest

CoCA Toi Moroki, Ōtautahi Christchurch

This durational performance subverts imagery used in the fetishisation of women to formulate an embodied response to the steadily constricting controls on the autonomy of women and 'othered' bodies – sex worker bodies, trans* bodies, migrant bodies. A critique on the bureaucratic processes that seem to be steadily constricting, making it harder to move and exist freely.

The performance aimed to create a visceral, but hopeful narrative of elevation and overcoming.
