Thrust was an installation and durational performance that cast the artist as subject, object and butt of the joke. I aimed to explore themes of vanity/vanitas, vulnerability, value and impossible ideals.

Simultaneously sexy and cynical, surreal and absurd, I gyrated, shimmied and thrust about blindly in space for the duratio of the art opening, gradually becoming less of a spectacle and more of an object as the performance went on.
